THE VISION

Women who were founded for an apostolic life and therefore order their whole life for the spreading of the kingdom of God and the salvation of soul.

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Bannabikira Sisters (Daughters of Mary) is to evangelize all people of God in Uganda and beyond through; Teacing catecesis to children, Educating young people in schools and tertiary institutions and Serving and caring for the sick in hospitals and health centres and social work inspired by the spirit of the Motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

CORE VALUES

Bannabikira Sisters ensure that the following values cement or glue together its vision and mission so as to produce worthwhile results.

  • HUMILITY: Accepting the presence of God in our lives through faith as Mary the mother of Jesus did in her whole life situations, letting the will of  God be done through obedience, self- knowledge and adapation to the acceptable existing context of the time.
  •  FORTITUDE: The Jesus we accepted will in many cases be a "Needy Jesus". Therefore,  we attend to this need with mature courageous love manifested in looking after the sick, children especially under our care, visiting the lonely and old people in villages, serving the sick in hospitals, health centre and communities.
  • SELF DENIAL: In fulfilment of our marternal obligations, we are alert  and awake to the people's needs, ready to alleviate their burdens in all possible ways and caring for their spiritual, intellectual, pysical and social needs. "They have no wine". Without self - denial, there are no means of rendering those services.
  • FRATERNAL CHARITY: Welcoming every person wiht whom we live and work or whom we come across open heartedly, we keep ourselves free from all kinds of rejection, discriminaion or avoidance of people; our only desire is o bring God's life to all
